Pre-Budget discussion was organized by Britannia University

A successful Pre-Budget discussion was organized by Britannia University on May 24, 2014 in the historic Academy BARD (Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development). The significance of the program was enhanced by the presence of the eminent scholars and personalities, especially, Prof. Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Professor of BRAC University Business School and Ex-Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Prof. Dr. Hafiz G.A Siddiqui, Professor Emeritus BRAC University Business School and Ex-Vice Chancellor, North South University, Barrister Dr. Rabia Bhuiyan, Ex-Minister, Government of Bangladesh. Each discussant expressed their valuable opinions about budget making process and its impact on the country´s development. Comments and questions from the audience were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed. To make the discussion more meaningful a paper on “Budget making in Developing countries like Bangladesh” was presented by Prof. Dr. Liaquat Ali Khan, Advisor, School of Business, Britannia University. Towards the end of the program a wind-up speech was made by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar, Vice Chancellor, Britannia University.
